i downloaded the rider clan mod
It was from heavengames link
it was called Fun mod (the folder it was in)
Followed the instructions but it would crash
(The bfme2 screen showed for i sec then crased
i have bfme2 collectors edition
The SEE mod also crashed when i used it
The only mod that ever worker for me was called HERO_BOOST_MOD
it was on mevault 'i think'
It was an INI folder
the instructions were to delete/remove the INI.BIG file and place the INI folder into the date folder
It worked fine and from there i searched the codes and tinkered with it to make my own !
Any help as i would love to play other versions
Can you make your mod into one INI folder that replaces the original INI.BIG file ??
I will try with the RCMOD on your website (trying now)

I got mod from website called RCMOD .used the -mod command but crash
The SEE mod did the same thing !
The only mod that worked for me is HERO_BOOST_MOD from mevault
I think there is a difference when installing collectors editon mods
I ususlly install my mod by removing INI.BIG file and putting the INI FOLDER
into the DATA FOLDER .Any thoughts on how to make original BFME2 mods work into
collectors edition game and Vice versa ?
The files all seen to be there and are essentially the same but stuff like
invalid sound 'tranduilthornof VenganceMS'
Error parsing etc- Data\INI\Fxlist.ini line 8288

...strange...
I have no idea... What is the difference between the collectors edition and the normal ones?
And did you update the game to the latest patch?

You should be able to just patch up the game via EA's Patch getter thing ;)
It should be there when you 'auto run' the cd :p

You mean that your game wont start even without the mod? Try reinstalling and make sure your game is patched up till the lates version ;)

you have to get any cd drive you have offline

for instance i have 2 drives, now to get the mod running i had to put both drives offline, doing so makes the computer use the new DAEMON tool as a drive, booting up the mod as ROTWK. while it is of course the mod......

Guest, I suggest you register :p
And then i suggest you tell us everything you did and how you did it :)
Maybe you should also join our hamachi server ;)

OH and WHAT did you do after mounting the CD?
Running anything from it will not work :p
You need to run the mod from the place it was installed ;)

hi all, im the guest. firstly i would like to thank all for helping
ok so the prob is this. i installed the RC mod to the default in the installer.

this is where my game is installed at
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II

so when you say install to the mod to place where the game was installed in, do you mean the folder that the game was installed in? like the one above? because i remember installing the mod to the Electronic Arts folder, right beside the The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II folder.

i followed accordingly to the instructions.
i downloaded the daemon tool lite, and i tried mounting both files to the virtural drive, but there was still a message asking me to insert the right cd into the cd/dvd.
another thing is I have SEE installed, but when i run the game, i was using the original icon, not the SEE icon.
i have uninstalled the RC mod and i will greatly appreciate the help rendered here.
I'm the nut cracker, and i'll crack your nuts.
