Before we begin, Please make sure you have downloaded and installed Renx [Hosted here at The3rdAge.net]. W3D Viewer is installed with Renx, However it doesnt add a shortcut to your desktop. So head towards "C:\Program Files\RenegadePublicTools\W3dView" to locate the application. Inside the "W3DView" folder you will see the following, Click for Image. Run the application named "W3DView" Click for Image. Once W3D Viewer is open select "File" at the top, Click for Image. Then select "Open", Click for Image. A window will open, Click for Image. Now.. Locate your w3d files (Model, Skeleton, Animations), Click for Image. Once you have located your w3d files, Select them and click "Open" Click for Image. On the left side, You will see the option "Hierarchy" with a "+" sign next to it. Click the "+" to expand the tab, Click for Image. You will see the models you imported in to W3D viewer listed. Again you need to select the "+" icon next to the model name, Click for Image. You will now see a list of animations that you imported with your model. Select the one you want to play, Click for Image. Thats it, You have imported your model, skeleton and animations in to W3D Viewer. Thanks for reading, FlameGuard CommentsDisplay order: Newest first ArronSwan - Saturday October 10, 2009 - 22:08 I downloaded RenX and Got the W3D View. HELP! m@tt (Team Chamber Member) - Thursday January 15, 2009 - 3:37 You need the W3D Importer: SoldierND - Wednesday January 14, 2009 - 20:32 um...when i click open (or import with renX) i cant find any w3d files at all. i hav finalbig and i found them in that but i cant seem to change the format of the files or find them when importing, opening, etc... plz help :/ FlameGuard - Thursday December 4, 2008 - 6:43 Basicly the same thing Turin, One would just need to run the Bfme2 Version instead. Turin Turumbar - Friday November 14, 2008 - 5:00 You should better use the w3d viewer from the bfme 2 mod sdk, that is a newer version robnkarla (Team Chamber Member) - Tuesday June 10, 2008 - 12:09 A small little trick that should be mentioned that I think is absolutely invaluable, with windows you can drag files to the viewer to open multiple files at once. Just select the files in explorer and drag them to the viewer. Voila. (including textures) |
