Vapula's Hero Mod was one of the first complete mods to be put on the modding scene. It bridged the gap for many modders to learn skinning and modeling because it was (to my knowledge) one of the first mods to incorporate new art. The mod has since faded away due to Vapula's leaving the modding world, and his mod was put out there for anybody and everybody to use at will in their own mods without credit. Remnants could be found in many mods seen on T3A today, but an original copy of the Hero Mod in it's raw state was rare. I found an original copy of the mod, which had only seen daylight of the 1.02 patch. This means that the mod was un-playable to just about every single modder. Until today. I have found, and ported Vapula's Original Hero Mod to BFME 1.03 patch so now people can download it to play it for the nostalgic feeling of the old days. Or, to mod with it. Because Vapula's words still stand. People are free to use this mod within their own mods with no crediting required. I'd like to think I've done something great, but that's up to you guys to decide.
