Getting Started
- If you are the mod's creator and there isn't a repository yet, create it and add your team members (on Google this is pretty self-explanatory)
- Get and install SmartSVN
- Launch it. Choose to use the "Foundation" version, and accept the terms and whatever screens come after
- In the welcome screen, choose "Check out project from repository"
- You will be asked to choose a repository. Click "Manage" and then "Add"
- Click "Enter SVN URL" and enter your repository url. For Google Code this is "https://projectname.googlecode.com/svn/" (if you don't want to edit, just download, replace "https" with "http")
- Go to the next screen, where you will have to enter a username and password (if you don't want to edit, just download, skip this step). For Google, your username is the part of your gmail address before the @, and your password can be found here
- Go to the next screen. If you want, give this repository a name. In any case, click "Finish"
- Now you're back in the "Check out project from repository" wizard. Click "Next" to continue
- After a short pause you will see the current contents of your repository. Just click "Next"
- Select a directory to put your mod files in. (this should be an empty dir, specially made for your mod)
- Click "Next" twice, and then "Finish"
- If your repository has any contents, they will be downloaded into the project folder now
