So what is a map.str file? What does it do? How do I create one?

All of your questions about map.str will be answered here!
A map.str file is what adds life to your map, it lets you display text in gameplay so that you can do a variety of things such as:-
- Display a message to your users.
- Add timers
- Show objectives. (Requires map.ini)

There are plenty of other uses for map.str, but for now, I will just go through the basics (above, but not showing objectives because it is too difficult for a first-timer) with you, since this is a beginners tutorial.

Contents:

1) Introduction
2) Creating a map.str file
3) Writing text in map.str
4) Showing timers with map.str
5) Conclusion

NOTE: I HAVE ATTACHED A MAP.STR TEMPLATE THAT YOU CAN USE IF YOU WANT. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE IT ARE ENCLOSED WITH THE FILE.

For a better format, try adding

Code
test
code tags to the scripts and map.str text parts. Other than that, good tutorial.
