1. Extract the ini files using FinalBig to a safe place. Open up the extracted ini folder and follow this path: data\ini\object\cinematic. Copy the entire folder and all the contents in it and and paste it into your mod folder in the same position: data\ini\object\cinematic. Now, paste the same folder and all the contents again in the same location but this time, name the folder something else like modcinematic. So when finished, you should have two folders with the same content but one is called cinematic and the other is called modcinematic.

2. Next, open the cinematic folder and you should see four different files in it. Open up each of the files and delete everything in them. Once everything is deleted, just put something in each of the files so the game does not crash for running a blank document. Just make sure you comment out whatever you write in it. Your files should now have something like this in it:

Code

; this is a dud

Save all the files with the same original name when finished. Leave your modcinematic alone and do not change anything in it.

3. Now assuming you know how to create and play a modded game, get it all set up and make sure you have no errors in your mod folder. Now it's time to open up Worldbuilder!

Why go to all the hassle of moving objects about etc when all you should do is change the path to them in SubSystemLegend.INI? The ThingTemplateStore explicitly indicates that the objects in the cinematics path are for cinematics only, so you just change that indicator to InitPath = Data\INI\Object\Cinematic\ instead of IncludePathCinematics = Data\INI\Object\Cinematic\ and the game will use them the same as any other object...

You should add code tags. Good tutorial otherwise :)
