As an extra bonus I'm posting up some alternate settings for this effect. It will add a sort of moving glow around the object. To see what I mean check out the Balrog's model in w3d viewer and notice the glowing effects on him these effects are similar. First in the Vertex Material tab Try the following.
Next change the following settings in the Shaders tab
For the texture I'd advice a texture that matches the Emissive settings in this case the Emissive colour is red and the Texture I'm using for best effect is one of my custom textures exredball.tga which hasn't been made public as yet. It's a simple sprite texture a red ball in the middle surrounded by black. Other textures will yield different results. Links / Downloads
